Popular Tween: GiaNina!
Oct 22, 2019
Meet Popular Tween GiaNina! You probably know her from “Dance Moms”!
We were thrilled to catch up with her at our photo shoot in Hollywood Hills, and ask her some of our exclusive questions!
Tell us about your show Dance Moms?
I had always watched Dance Moms growing up as a dancer so when I got the chance to be on the show I was extremely excited to work with Abby and Gianna and see what it was really like. I love my Dance Moms family and am proud to be part of the history of the show.
What is it like being on a reality show? –
It was very stressful at times trying to understand how the show was being produced and what was needed from me. As the show went on I got more comfortable if you can say that.
And with your mom?-
It was a little weird at first because on the show she was my dance mom and not my dance teacher, like she has been my whole life, so it was weird seeing that side of her at first. She just isn’t the typical Dance Mom because she has taught dance for 28 years and sees it from the eyes of a teacher and dealt with “dance moms”. It took a few weeks to get used to it.
Three people—dead or alive, real or fictional—that you’d like to invite to dinner?
Jennifer Lopez, Emma Chamberlain and my grandmother Meme
Dream concert ticket (any band, any decade)?
The Greatest Showman. Not because I was in the movie but because it was an amazing movie from start to finish that entertained and captured everyone’s heart.
Lauren Daigle – “You Say”
Favorite TV show?
Full House and Jesse
If you could only eat one thing from now on, what would it be?
Tell us a secret/ Fun fact about yourself?
I cannot stand turbulence on airplanes because it terrifies me – ugh
What does Popular mean to you?
Popular to me means that people like what you are doing or the person you are. Being popular is not something I worry about because I like to show the world who I am, my fierceness and my personality in everything I do. I just want to create things that people love and appreciate and everything else will take care of itself.
Can you tell us about any other projects you have coming up?
I have a very fun event coming up in NYC on Sept 7th with my Capezio family at their flagship store. It is a Meet and Greet with me and it is also going to help bring awareness to one of my favorite charities called Broadway Cares and more specifically Broadway Barks. I love dogs and to be able to help in any way to bring attention to adoption is a blessing while meeting some really great fans. I also have a few other exciting things in the works so stay tuned to my social media for updates on what’s next!.
