Meet Popular Girl: Lexi DiBenedetto

Oct 9, 2018

Meet Popular Girl: Lexi DiBenedetto! She stars on Nickelodeon’s new hit series, Knight Squad. The  second season will be coming out soon! So if you haven’t seen it, it’s time to catch up on the first season. The show centers around students forming an unlikely alliance to protect each other’s secrets and pursue their dreams at a magical school for knights in training.
We were excited to catch up with Lexi at her photo shoot in the Hollywood Hills, where we had a blast asking her our exclusive questions!

Tell us about your show Knight Squad?

Knight Squad is about a group of teenagers training to become Knights to protect the kingdom of Astoria.

How are you and your character Prudence similar, how are you different?

Prudence and I definitely share that we are loyal, determined, and truly want what’s best for everyone! We also both love a good snack. A difference between us is the fact that Prudence has, you know, giant strength. Unless I’m hiding my giant strength…

What is it like getting to play and knight that is part giant?

It’s an absolute blast! I really enjoy getting to break rocks and lift huge doors.

Dream concert ticket (any band, any decade)?

The Beatles and Sublime.

Favorite Artist?

I really have too many to name. I love reggae, rock, and definitely want to go to a Shawn Mendes concert.

Karaoke Anthem?

This is top secret information!

Favorite Movie?

Shawshank Redemption or Miss Congeniality!

Favorite snack?

TV addiction?

Downton Abbey, I’m currently re-watching it with my mom. And The Office!

Last fashion item purchased?

A vintage duster/jacket. I’m waiting for the LA heat to cool off so I can wear it.

Three people—dead or alive, real or fictional—that you’d like to invite to dinner?

Robin Williams, Mulan, and Princess Diana.

Do you have a party trick?

I can touch my nose with my tongue…but I don’t know if that really counts as a party trick.

Tell us a secret?

I LOVE classic cars!

What does popular mean to you?

Popular to me means that you’re kind and not afraid to be yourself. Staying true to who you are is scary and difficult at times, but once you let go of fear that others may judge you, I believe a new quality of life is achieved.

Can you tell us about any shows or projects you have coming up?

I’m actually about to start filming the second season of Knight Squad and I’m so excited to share it with everyone!
