Meet Breanna Yde we cant stop talking about her! You can see her on Nickelodeon’s “School of Rock”. On the series she plays Tomika, a fun-loving tomboy with a kick-butt attitude. She’s a gifted bassist with the pipes to match. We got a chance to sit down and have a chat and learn more about what inspires her everyday.

What gets you up in the morning?
My alarm clock…and also knowing that I am doing what I love, and that hopefully I’m helping make a difference in the world.

Your biggest virtue?
My biggest virtue is spreading love and kindness, usually through art.

Your biggest vice?
I’d say my biggest vice is definitely staying up late. I always regret it the next day, especially when I have an early call time.

Do you have a party trick?
I can juggle! Pretty cool, I know.

How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as edgy, but still fun.

What would constitute a perfect day for you?
My perfect day would be – eating breakfast with my family, going to the recording studio, getting some sushi for lunch, playing with my doggos and maybe making some fried rice for dinner with my family.

What would your very last meal entail?
Sushi, rice and lots of ice cream! So much ice cream.

Three people—dead or alive, real or fictional—that you’d like to invite to dinner?
I would invite Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Lady Gaga to dinner.

Turn ons?
Two things that usually spark my interest are anything music related and typewriters.

Turn offs?
Crooked paintings hanging on the wall, that seriously bugs me! Also, pianos or guitars that aren’t tuned.

Tell us a secret.
I’m learning to play the trumpet!

Your favorite quote?
“Of any activity you do, ask yourself: If I were the last person on earth, would I still do it?” The War of Art by Steven Pressfield.

An embarrassing moment?
I can’t think of one at the moment, but I’ll let you know if that changes LOL.

Your proudest moment?
One of my proudest moments was performing at the Hollywood Christmas Parade this last year. I was performing Million Reasons by Lady Gaga and All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey. I wanted to make those icons proud and felt like all my hard work really payed off. I had so much fun!

Could you tell us more about some of the projects you are working on?
I’m working really hard on my music at the moment and developing my sound as an artist. I also have some other top secret projects coming up that I can’t wait to share with everyone!
