Instagram Takeover: Victoria konefel!

Popular Girl, Victoria Konefal, took over our Instagram @whatispopular and we got to see what it’s like to be a soap opera star! You can currently see her as Ciara Brady on the Daytime Emmy-winning soap opera Days of Our Lives.

We met up with this talented actor, and got a chance to get to know her a little better and ask her some of our exclusive questions.

Tell us about your most recent project?

I’ve been on a contract with Days of Our Lives for two years now, and the contract makes it difficult to book other work due to scheduling complications. My team is working very hard to find something that works though, I am very blessed to have them.

What inspires you to do what you do?

The idea of making art that has potential to inspire someone else. The feeling I get after watching a great film/performance moves me in ways I can barely put into words. I’m very passionate about acting. If my art can move someone or evoke any kind of emotion in someone else, well that’s all I can hope for as an artist. Is to impact someone and make them truly feel.

What is your favorite free time thing to do?

I spend most of my free time doing something athletic. Whether its hiking, kickboxing, playing basketball, playing golf, simply going to the gym or dancing, as long as I’m moving around I’m happy. I also spend a lot of time just chilling with the people I love. I’m somewhat of an introvert, so hanging with my besties and ordering some takeout sushi while watching a great movie is music to my ears.

What would be your idea of a perfect day?

Life is so incredible that I can’t really pinpoint one perfect day. I absolutely love to travel, so any day where I’m visiting a new country, eating incredible food and learning about different cultures is a perfect day in my book.

Three people, dead or alive that you’d like to invite to dinner?

Angelina Jolie, Jesus, and Elon Musk.

Dream concert ticket? 

Ohh this is a hard one. I absolutely have to see Eminem perform before he finally decides to stop going on tour. I would also love to see Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses and Michael Jackson perform.

Favorite movie?

Good Will Hunting, Million Dollar Baby, and Gia are always high on my list. They’re all classics, but I recently saw Joker and that film is magnificent.

Karaoke Anthem? 

Black dog by Led Zeppelin, Drunk in Love by Beyoncé and You Give Love A Bad Name by Bon Jovi. Also literally any song by Britney Spears.

Last Fashion Item purchased? 

This incredible vintage jacket. I spend way too much money on jackets.

If you could only eat one thing from now on what would it be?

If nutritional value wasn’t being taken into consideration, it would be pizza. Hands down.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?

Try not to grow up so quickly. Live presently in the moment and appreciate the simple things while you can, because everything in life is fleeting so there is absolutely no point living in the future/past. Every emotion and experience is so valuable, even the negative ones.

Tell us a secret/ fun fact about yourself? 

I’ve caught 20 frogs, a bird mid-flight, a 4 foot long crocodile, a catfish, and a baby shark with my bare hands all within five days. I was on a wilderness kick. All of the animals were returned into the wild unharmed. Well, except the catfish.

What does Popular mean to you?

It means to be popular with yourself! We live in a world with so many conflicting opinions about what makes a person “popular”, and I think that as long as you are truly happy with the kind of human being you are, you’re popular. Outside opinions shouldn’t matter, because at the end of the day it’s you who has to live in your brain. Be a good person and love yourself, that’s what popular means to me.
