Damon Sharpe Teams Up With DVRKO For “Power of Love: A Back to the Future Day Livestream Special Event”

Oct 28, 2020

With the live music scene essentially shutting down and many finding themselves stuck at home throughout this year, electronic music listeners have been treated to a large number of livestreams and digital performances. As artists have had to scout for new and inventive ways of connecting with their audience, the bar has been set exceptionally high in an age of content over-saturation, yet Grammy and ASCAP award-winning artist Damon Sharpe and mysterious act DVRKO are exceeding expectations with their latest special livestream performance in celebration of the 1985 classic blockbuster: Back to the Future .

Tons of fans and listeners tuned in exclusively on Twitch via Dash Radio to enjoy tunes by Damon Sharpe and DVRKO, who just presented Power of Love: A Back to the Future Day Livestream Special Event, recorded from Melody Ranch and directed by Eli Sokhn. On the official “Back To the Future Day,” the pair spinned house heaters for almost an hour, offering dancefloor-ready vibes from the likes of DJ Snake, Male, AC Slater, Botnek, Melsen and many more. If this all wasn’t enough, DVRKO closed his set with a fresh, reimagined rendition of the classic “The Power of Love,” which was just released on all digital streaming platforms via independent label L1N3 Records. The tune, also released alongside a complementary animated music video, combines elements of trap, dubstep and electro house, bringing to life an anthemic vibe filled with gritty bass and hard-hitting drums.

Damon Sharpe is gearing up for a massive release of his own as well. Making his debut as an officially signed artist to Armin van Buuren’s Armada Records, the talented DJ and producer is releasing his long-awaited track “Lost Years” featuring Josh Cumbee on November 6th. Carrying a wealth of industry experience under his belt Damon Sharpe is best known for his behind-the-scenes work with superstars such as Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Pitbull and Alesso, as well as his highly successful solo career working with artists such as Zonderling, Dave Winnel, GATTÜSO and many more, amassing tens of millions of streams in the process. A master of his craft, audiences are eager to experience his latest creation “Lost Years,” and the many more triumphs to come.

Keep up with Damon on InstagramFacebook, Twitter, and Spotify.
