It’s time to fill up your cups with eggnog, wear too many ugly Christmas sweaters and find some mistletoe, and we’re getting in the spirit with a playlist courtesy of NYC DJ and host of ‘Slumber Party,’ Emmieshouse! Not only did she include some festive favorites from The Waitresses, Destiny’s Child, NSYNC and Britney Spears, but she threw in a few new holiday tunes from Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen.

See why Emmieshouse chose these holiday jams, and enjoy her playlist below.

“Merry Christmas (Happy Holidays)” by N*Sync: This one holds up all year round, tbh. I urge you to drop this in the clurb in June. Feels great!

“Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” by Christina Aguilera: It wouldn’t be X-mas without a little X-tina…this is how I aspire to sing when I’m alone in my car…aka when I’m not alone in my Uber.

“Silent Night” by Boyz II Men: So good. The scene from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air where they come through for Will and sing this song at Cousin Nicky’s christening is an emotional masterpiece. Crying just thinking about it.

“Jingle Bells” by Frank Sinatra: A VERY turnt up take on the classic “Jingle Bells”…however, I do feel it could stand to be slightly more turnt though…like it’s begging for a trap remix or rap verse.

“Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses: This song makes the sort of depressing notion of being fully alone on Christmas seem really cool and effortless. She even makes her own turkey! How lit! If I was her I would be scraping the bottom of a peanut butter jar and watching Project Runway: Junior at the lowest volume setting so that my neighbors don’t hear me and think that I’m sitting home alone on Christmas eating Peanut Butter and watching Project Runway: Junior….

“Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” by Justin Bieber: Of course Springsteen’s take on this one is the obvious front runner BUT I wanted to call your attention to Bieber’s fun/ flirty rendition. Also the video features a bunch of post-apocalyptic Oliver Twist-types breakdancing, and Bieber plays the drums which is ALWAYS a treat.

“The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” by Whitney Houston: Queen Whitney’s fab take on the classic! Plus she shouts out Hannukah AND Kwanza in the song…not only was it thoughtful of her to include everyone, but it’s also a smart business move. Well done, Whit!

“Frosty The Snowman” by Cocteau Twins: This might be a controversial statement but I feel like Frosty is kind of the lamest Christmas character. Like, he has a carrot for a nose…a CARROT! I’d rather have ANYTHING else for a nose than an effing carrot, but Cocteau Twins give him a v special treatment. They put ranch dressing on that carrot! JK no ranch dressing was used in the making of this song (that I can tell), and it’s still awesome!

“Christmas in Hollis” by Run DMC: THE BEST. Plus any song that manages to mention macaroni and cheese is an automatic win for me.

“My Only Wish (This Year)” by Britney Spears: This is the one where she asks Santa for a boyfriend…not no Brit…NOT. NO. Actually, she should probably just give Santa her phone, and let him Tinder for her.

“Baby It’s Cold Outside” by Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton: Because anything with Dolly Parton’s involvement automatically makes it perfect. Side note: I would also creepily abd emphatically over-exaggerate the state of the weather so that she wouldn’t leave my house too tbh!

“8 Days of Christmas” by Destiny’s Child: Ok, so this song is actually kind of terrible, but it’s completely saved by the amazing Christmas outfits in the video…well…the lyrics are actually pretty great too though. For example: “On the 3rd day of christmas my true love gave to me: a gift certificate to buy all my favorite CDs” because nothing says “ILY” like a Best Buy gift card. Also, I like that Destiny’s Child cuts the crap and downgrades us from 12 Days of Christmas to 8 days. Twelve does seem kind of excessive when u think about it. I take it all back this song is perfect.

“Merry Christmas Baby” by Otis Redding: One of the greatest musicians ever to grace this planet…this song just rules. Also adding “White Christmas: by Otis Redding to this playlist because it’s necessary. Also it’s my playlist, and I wanna listen 2 more Otis Redding dammit!

“Last Christmas” by Carly Rae Jepsen: The yung pop queen kills this cover! 100%!
