Dublin’s very own KK Lewis has returned with her highly anticipated EP ‘Dreaming’. Encompassing 5 unique tracks, KK Lewis’ haunting edge, paired with a distinctive delicacy, provides the EP with a range of vibrant sonics that draws you in. The style of R&B infused indie-pop that this rising talent offers up takes inspiration from the likes of Joy Crookes, Arlo Parks, and Amy Winehouse. The jazzy undertone heard in each of the records adds a certain spice to KK Lewis’ music, and highlights how this artist is unafraid to take a daring and experimental approach.

Taking listeners on a personal journey, the songs within the EP explore a different version of KK Lewis, allowing fans to understand her inner-most thoughts and live her experiences through her intricate musical narratives.

KK Lewis explained, “This EP represents a skeleton of KK Lewis. Each song explores a different version of me, revealing a new story and a new sound. It highlights the confusion and insecurity I felt during my teenage years, not feeling comfortable enough to be myself. This project follows a journey of self-discovery and creates a foundation for my sound to grow from. I recorded this EP with Papa Rua in his house. We spent a long time listening to lots of different music, talking about what we wanted the record to sound like and the story I wanted to tell.”

Also sharing a captivating music video for one of the EP’s tracks ‘Petals’, KK Lewis shows there are no bounds to her inspired creativity, with the enticing visuals being directed by both KK Lewis herself and Louis Maxwell. Both powerful and drama-filled, the video gives a further insight into the artist’s world and allows you to escape from reality whilst viewing. Pushing the boundaries and making her mark on the industry, KK Lewis is headed straight for the top, so be sure to keep up with her every move.
