Meet The Fabulous Maty Noyes!

Meet the fabulous Mary Noyes! Talented singer and songwriter. We fell in love with her when she graced our Popular Cover “ Ones to Watch for 2018”! We can’t stop playing her new record “Porn Star,” which has an important message about love and relationships, and how (especially our generation) needs to change their perspective. She is performing at the Billboard Hot 100 festival. We caught up with the Maty in LA and asked her some of our exclusive questions.

What was your inspiration for your song “Porn Star”?
It’s no secret that our generation is being taught to love the wrong way. Because of this I’ve had a lot of negative experiences with men. I wanted to do what I could to inspire people to change the way they love and change their perspective on what love means.

What inspires you to be an artist and write your own songs?
It’s all I know how to do, I can’t get over something and move on unless I write a song about it. It’s just in my blood to be an artist. Everything inspires me, most of my songs are written off my own experiences and how I see the world.

If  you could work with any artist – who would it be?
I think Marc Ronson would be cool to work with, also frank ocean and Lana del Rey would be fun to write with.

What city was your favorite to perform in? Why?
I think Glasgow Scotland! I have never seen a crowd so hype and so excited to listen to music. I love that they never took that experience for granted.

Favorite snack?
Mhmmm food is my second biggest passion so im going to have to go with anything dealing with cheese and the chocolate covered frozen banana slices from Trader Joe’s :)

TV addiction?
Game of thrones of course! Also the bachelor and bachelorette.
Dream concert ticket (any band, any decade)?
The Beatles for sure.
Three people—dead or alive, real or fictional—that you’d like to invite to dinner?
Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, and Jesus (and Oprah lol) ugh also Obama!! It’s too hard to choose three!!
Do you have a party trick?
Simply being the hostest with the mostest ;)

My tongue is double jointed.

It means wonderful people covering awesome stories in an edgy rad way! It means supporting and connecting great artist and people with the world. I love popular!
Can you tell us about any shows or projects you have coming up?
Yes! My EP love songs from a Lolita drops this Friday, I’m playing the billboard fest in august, music video for spiraling down is dropping soon!!!! So much good stuff to come :)
