SONG PREMIERE: HUDSON THAMES

If Taylor Swift cosigns on an artist, you listen. Hudson Thames’ “How I Want Ya” featuring Hailee Steinfeld recently made Taylor’s Instagram list of “new songs that will make your life more awesome,” and we got intrigued. He even recently got love from Kate Hudson. The 21-year-old sings, songwrites and skateboards—he’s basically an all around bad-ass who is making pop a little more dynamic.

Premiering below is a soulful pop jam from the up-and-comer called “Our Song.” It’s likely to be your new weekend theme song that reminds you of high school nights and nostalgia for getting into trouble. “To date, no song I’ve written captures my adolescence more vividly than this one,” Hudson said of the track. “Everyone’s had one of those nights. This one’s mine.”

Tomorrow Hudson’s debut EP Lip Tricks comes out featuring this song. Basically, big things are in store for this guy, and we’ll be along for the ride.
