Sound Off: Sarah Silva!
Nov 26, 2019
Meet Sarah Silva, the talented singer/songwriter and actress! We love her music so much and we can’t stop playing her new song, “False Illusions”!
We met up with this talented singer at her photo shoot in the Hollywood Hills, and got a chance to get to know her a little better and ask her some of our exclusive questions.
What was your inspiration for your music?
I find inspiration from many things in my life. I usually write my songs about what I’m feeling or experiencing. I love that when I write my own music I have the freedom to express my feelings and speak my mind.
What inspires you to be an artist and write your own songs?
What inspires me to be an artist is knowing that I’m doing what I love. I am so grateful of that because not many people have the opportunity to do so in their life. So, I take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way and joy every second of it.
If you could work with any artist – who would it be?
One of my all-time idols has always been Adele. I admire her so much in every way and it would be an honor to work with her…someday.
What city was your favorite to perform in? Why?
Honestly, I enjoy performing in every city I visit but I think that one of the most memorable moments is when I performed in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The audience there is so loving and supportive and it really shows when performing.
I love doing karaoke! My top 3 would be “Falling” by Alicia keys, “Endless Love” by Lionel Richie and Diana ross, “Greatest Love of All” by Whitney Houston.
“Well I Wonder” by The Smiths.
La La Land! I could watch it every day. I also love Coraline, that’s another favorite.
Definitely roasted seaweed (ha-ha). If you like sushi or fish this snack it life changing!
I watch a lot of Netflix, but recently I’ve been obsessed with Lost in Space. Most of my other favorites include Atypical and The Society.
Dream concert ticket (any band, any decade)?
Without a doubt I’d chose Michael Jackson. I have dreamed of being at one of his concerts. He is so iconic and he has influenced the world of music in so many ways. I would have loved to experience the king himself live.
Three people—dead or alive, real or fictional—that you’d like to invite to dinner?
Alice from Alice in wonderland because her dinner party food always seemed so tasty, Madonna because “Why not?” (ha-ha), and Rosalia because I love her in general.
Do you have a party trick?
I going to be 100% honest with you guys, I’m so bad at parties! I could be hosting or simply attending. I feel awkward for some weird reason, so if anyone has a party trick for me I am (totally) open to hearing them out.
Tell us a secret?
This is really random, but I’m afraid of sleeping in the dark. Is it just me or is that really scary?
What does popular mean to you?
Popular means having influence between people who know you and admire you. Being popular should be a way to set a positive example for others any way you can.
Can you tell us about any shows or projects you have coming up?
Definitely! I’m super excited to announce that I will be releasing my new single “False Illusions” on Friday, November 1st. I can’t wait for everyone to listen to this bop I have been working on for the last few months. So everyone stay tuned for the release! I am also working on a new EP which will be released beginning of 2020.
