The Bananarama track “Cruel Summer” may have dropped more than 30 years ago, but the mega-hit is one of those sing-along songs that truly never gets old. And while we’d never suggest giving up on the original (or the ’90s Ace of Base cover, because c’mon, it’s so good), DJ Val Fleury has offered her own update on the jam. She’s added shimmery layers, a killer beat, and injected the famous chorus with plenty of irresistible harmonies.
