To be considered as a protégé in this industry, is the gateway to success. Under the wing of the iconic 4 Non Blondes lead singer Linda Perry, 16-year-old Willa Amai stands out as a voice of subtlety and clarity among her peers.

Following up with the audio to her latest single ‘Unorganized Crime’ that released yesterday, Willa Amai thought her audience would best wash it down with an accompanying music video. Clad in all white, Willa does her best to drown out extra noise, as she uses her lyrics to make the splash. Using the delicate sounds of a guitar matched with the echoing refrains from her chorus, Willa leads us through her mind as she imagines the world without restriction. Literally sprouting from her mind, the audience is able to see the labor of her lyrics as she grapples with the idea of breaking free.

Of the visuals, Willa explained, “The video for ‘Unorganized Crime’ encapsulates the purity of the version of me the song is in memoriam of. It’s just beautiful imagery with powerful emotion.”

This isn’t the first time Willa has made headway with her music, with nearly 6 million career streams, an equal number of YouTube views, and even garnering attention from the queen of country herself, Dolly Parton, as well as Ellen and the Today Show, we know we can expect to see a lot more from this young artist in the future.
