Art Party: London
Apr 23, 2015

Every month, art critic Marta Pozzan reports from her favorite gallery show… with her new wardrobe crushes thrown in, too.
WHERE? White Cube – 25-26 Masons Yard, London SW1Y 6BU
The White Cube Mason’s Yard opened in September 2006 in a courtyard off Duke Street St James’, nearby to the original White Cube space, in Hoxton Square. Its features? Minimalist gallery with large, light basement, part of a group promoting global contemporary talent.
WHEN? June 03 – July 18
WHAT? Günther Förg, Lead Paintings
Günther Förg is a German painter, sculptor and photographer who made Modernism his main theme until he passed last December. His work is in permanent collections around the world, including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Tate Modern in London, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
WHO? Stella McCartney SS15
Förg’s monochromatic works reminded me so much of the Stella McCartney sleeveless silk dress in contrasting rugby stripes featuring a dropped waist and a full layered skirt from her SS15 collection, now available at StellaMcCartney.com/us. The “Superstellaheroes” cross body bag and the blue and red elastic belt have the same modernistic tendency.
