Chinatown Market x X-GIRL Fall Collab

Sep 19, 2020

Streetwear powerhouses Chinatown Market and X-GIRL are coming together for the unforgettable collaboration.

Founded in the summer of ’94, Kim Gordon and Daisy von Furth founded X-GIRL to be a foundation of ‘real clothing’, a line in which best represented them. Using a series of graphic designs for their collection, X-GIRL is now seen as the pioneer of the “Girl’s Movement” in the fashion industry. The brand stood out as it blurred the lines of expression between fashion, art, and music. Today, the brand still carries that inspiration through a basic style involving looks inspired by rock, military, outdoor, and sports now to be shopped at one of the most currently aligning and popular stores of the last few years – Dolls Kill.

Considered the pioneers of the streetwear industry, Chinatown Market and OG streetwear brand X-GIRL paired off for a logocentric mini-collection of tees, hoodies, sweatpants, and the trendy staple – nylon shorts for their first collaboration.

The collection has been paired with an avant-garde photoshoot showcasing the authenticity of the two brands, featuring artists Awsten Knight and De’Wayne Jackson. Proving that fashion is so much more than the garment, shoot speaks to individuality, self-expression, exuberant personality and style.

The partnership also comes with a list of well-respected artists in its history back pocket such as Pharrell, Justin Bieber, and Sofia Coppola.
