The Call Sheet

Style

May 20, 2015

“Hey, why don’t we shoot one theme every day for a month?” asked our fashion director, Mary Kate Steinmiller. “We can get fashion kids from all over the world to do looks. We’ll just give them a theme and say ‘go,’ and see what happens.”

What happens is The Call Sheet, an online archive of looks based on a theme that was masterminded by MK along with our photo editor, Christian Storm. We’ll post a new outfit every day, for 30 days, and then start all over again with a different idea.

First up? Go Army. “We told everyone to style a look with a military theme,” MK says, “because at this point, camouflage prints are the new neutral. It can be interpreted in so many different ways, at any price point, in any size. And it’s not going anywhere: Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, and Chloé all had elements of military style in their latest runway collections.”

Click through to see what our friends have dreamed up, then raid your closet and grab your camera: We want your military style submissions! Tag us (@WhatIsPopular) on Instagram, and you could be our next guest stylist.

(This is where we would insert a happy face Emoji. Except, I mean, we’re still in beta. Anyway. Start submitting!!!)
